Racism/Prejudice Ex: When Sandra Bulllock's character automatically assume that because the locksmith was Hispanic and had tatoos all over him that he was in a gang.
Interracial Marriage Ex: The couple who were pulled over by the cops, were of different racial cultures and it seemed to bother the cops.
Racism/Discrimination/Dominance Ex: When the black woman who worked for the insurance company commented that many people are surprise that a black woman like herself is able to do the job.
Racism/Prejudice/Discrimination Ex: When the store owner and his daughter were trying to purchase a gun, the store owner there was incredibly rude and didn't explain things to them very well.
Importance of Family Ex: The relationship between the cop and his mother; the relationship between the locksmith and his daughter.
Personal identity Ex: The two black males who stole the car and ended up hurting other people; they seemed to be in search of their own identity and seemed confused about who they really are.
Racism/Discrimination/Prejudice Ex: When one of the black males who had stolen the car made the comment about how he never rides a bus because only inferior people ride the bus.
Perception Ex: Sandra Bullock's character perceives her worlds as unsafe; so does the little girl who's father had to give a "protective cloth" because she was so afraid of getting shot.
